Julia Leisk

I serve not only as the Director of St. Peter’s Early Childhood Program but also as a K-4 teacher. While this will be my third year at the school, I have been a part of the St. Peter’s family for several years now. My daughter, Kennice, is in fifth grade and my daughter, Kyleigh, is in the second grade.  I also have twin boys, Alexander and Andrew.  They are K-5 students.  My mother, Barbara Perales, is one of the teachers in the St. Peter’s Mother Day Out Program.

   I graduated from UT Austin (GO LONGHORNS!) with a BA in Political Science in 1993 and went on to attend and graduate from UT Law School in 1998.  As a licensed attorney, I practiced law until I came to the realization that my calling was to be a teacher.  I went back to school and received my Texas Teaching Certification. I am certified to teach early childhood through fourth grade.  My husband, Scott, is also a graduate of UT Austin and is a Network Security Engineer working at Fort Sam Houston.  I am honored to be part of such a caring community and I hope to make this a memorable and exciting year for your child.
