Cathy Orihuela 

I began teaching 13 years ago in Houston and completed my Master’s in Early Childhood Education in 2002.  I have two children that also go to St. Peter’s.  My husband and I have two dogs, a cat, lots of fish and several rodents, some of which join us as class pets!  We love San Antonio and St. Peter’s!

My teaching philosophy is to maximize each child’s potential in a safe, nurturing, and Christian environment; encourage healthy social and emotional development; recognize each child has many strengths and needs; ensure their self-esteem along the way; and to have the most precise teaching practices to accomplish each child’s academic skills.  I cherish my student’s parents as a part of an important team responsible for each child’s growth and progress.
