Student Life

A day in the life of a St. Peter’s Tiger

St. Peter Prince of the Apostles School students start their day as early as 7:00AM, with morning care available in the school cafeteria. Students are encouraged to arrive with ample time to get ready for classes, which start promptly at 8:00AM daily, with the exception of Fridays. On Friday mornings, students proceed to St. Peter Prince of the Apostles Church to attend mass. All students attend weekly mass.

Catered lunch is available, and all meals, except for early childhood classes, take place in the school cafeteria. Dismissal for early childhood students is at 3:00PM, elementary students end their day at 3:10PM and annex students finish theirs at 3:20PM. There is an orderly system in place for picking up and dropping off students.

There are a variety of St. Peter’s events that are quite popular with the students. The highlight of each year is the Halloween Carnival, which usually takes place just around the corner from October 31st. Each class manages a booth, and there are specialty baskets put together by each class that are raffled off as part of the evening highlights for the carnival. St. Peter’s has its own version of Fiesta called Dayosa, and Diogras is a unique Irish tradition that recognizes students on the basis of peer nominations and evaluations.

St. Peter’s students develop both big hearts and strong minds. They put these gifts to good use for the school and the St. Peter’s Community. Service hours from students are a tangible illustration of living out the Catholic values they’ve learned.
