The 2015-16 school year marks the second year the Department of Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of San Antonio will be offering the ‘Superintendent’s Transfer Grant’ to families who are interested in attending Catholic school in San Antonio and the surrounding area. The transfer grant is geared toward helping fill classrooms that have open seats, by offering grants up to $3,000 to help families with the cost of tuition.
Here’s how it works. To be eligible, a child must have attended a public, charter, private, or homeschool for the 2014-2015 school year. The two-year transfer grant is available to grades 1st – 7th and 9th and 11th. Check with Becky Pawelek to ensure space is available for the desired grade level. If space is available, download and print out the transfer grant certificate from the website and take it to the front office when enrolling your child. The grant will be applied directly to a child’s school tuition. Families will receive a $1,000 grant the first year, and $500 the second for elementary and middle school. High school students will receive a $2,000 grant the first year and $1,000 the second year. This grant cannot be combined with any other tuition discount offered by St. Peter School, but may be applied in conjunction with tuition aid from Hope for the Future.
