Summer (June - July) Program Hours:
7:30am-4:00pm, After Care Available 4:00pm-6:00pm for an additional fee and requires a minimum number of children enrolled.
School Year (August - May) Program Hours:
7:00am-3:30pm, After Care Available 3:30pm-6:00pm for an additional fee -
Young children learn through hands-on experiences. The Learning Center approach is used to provide an environment in which each child may use his/her senses to investigate, explore, manipulate and make choices at his/her developmental level. We provide a warm community where acceptable social behavior is encouraged, and we provide positive and loving guidance.
The Learning Center at St. Peter School (TLC) offers full time and part-time care for young children ages 18 months-3 years old. We recognize children are unique gifts from God, and we are called to support their spiritual and physical growth and development. We seek to provide an atmosphere in which all children may grow and learn, and give children a preview of the Catholic preschool experience.Children learn about God's love through relationships with those around them. With this knowledge we seek early childhood professionals who embrace the spirit of our program. These professionals work closely with families through conferences and daily communication to support the development of the whole child.
Our Staff is friendly, kind, and loving. The teachers and assistants all have experience in early childhood education. Each year, staff members complete many hours of continuing education through workshops and professional conferences. All staff hold CPR and first aid certifications.
Our primary responsibility at The Learning Center at St. Peter School is to provide high quality, developmentally appropriate experiences for young children in a Christian environment. We recognize and respect parents as their children's primary nurturers and teachers. Our program supports and expands on this foundation.
The Learning Center is licensed by the state of Texas child-care licensing division. We meet or exceed the minimum state standards for the care of children.
Our program is open to children 18 months to 3 years as of September 1st of the current school year. We also have a transition pre-kindergarten class for those students who are of age to begin school, but are not socially/emotionally ready.
Enrollment is open to parishioners of St. Peter's, as well as members of the surrounding community.St. Peter's TLC Program does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national and ethnic origin, gender or disability.
