Suzanna Navarro will be starting her eleventh year of teaching and is proud to have been educated in the Catholic school system from grade school through university. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of the Incarnate Word, and will complete her graduate degree in pastoral studies at UIW. Suzanna also volunteers as an administrative board member for the Latino Education Advancement Pipeline (LEAP), serving as a program developer and school liaison. She is certified by the Texas State Board of Education to teach 4th through 8th grade English & Language Arts; she is a certified GT teacher, and she is certified as a Religion educator at level 3 through the Archdiocese of San Antonio, with an anticipated professional certification by 2015. Suzanna is service oriented, as evidenced by her involvement with LEAP as well as her development of service opportunities for students on every campus at which she has taught; she believes deeply in the ministry of service and the role of the church in social justice and education. She currently serves as the Religion teacher at St. Peter’s Catholic School, and brings to this her concern for ministry to the poor, and service to the parish school and the larger community.
