Director of Music Ministry - St. Peter Prince of the Apostles Parish
Laredo native Nicole Cabello Medrano is an accomplished and talented pianist in South Texas. At a young age, she had the opportunity to study with nationally-acclaimed John Weems of Houston. She pursued her education in piano performance at the University of North Texas and subsequently honed her skills further at the University of the Incarnate Word and the University of Texas at San Antonio.
Nicole is the Director of Music at St. Peter Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church, performing as principal soloist for weekend liturgy services and accompanying adult and cherub choirs, summer musical camps, and annual fundraisers to benefit St Peter Prince of Apostles School. She has also served as an accompanist at the John Calvin Presbyterian Church, St. Mary's Hall, Our Lady of the Lake University, University Interscholastic League Competitions, and the University of Texas at San Antonio.
Active and in demand in San Antonio theater productions, Nicole has lent her significant skills to numerous community events and musicals, including The Wizard of Oz, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Fantasticks, Schoolhouse Rock, Cinderella, Grease, and You're a Good Man Charlie Brown, Grease, 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Bye Bye Birdie, Mamma Mia and many more.
Nicole has one daughter, Allegra, who is attending DePaul University in Chicago. Her husband, Sam, has one son, Jason, who is married to his wife, Ashley. Sam is her greatest supporter.
