The Parent-Teacher Club (PTC) is a volunteer organization made up of parents, school faculty and other friends of St. Peter’s who work to support the school community. Supporting PTC is easy! You can help by eating at EZ’s Brick Oven and Grill on designated nights when St. Peter’s gets a portion of the proceeds of the day’s sales. You can attend or volunteer during the Halloween Carnival. You can also show your support by volunteering in the classroom. Many times, your volunteer work can earn Service Hours. But know that EVERY time you help, it is showing support for our students and faculty.
Below is a list of PTC board positions and a job description. If you are intersted in learning more about PTC board positions, please contact Katarina Rome at 210-840-2785. Board positions are held for a year and elections are held in May.
Volunteers Needed for Committees
Your PTC is preparing for a great year, but we need your help! If you are interested in earning Service Hours while ensuring St. Peter's continues to be a great place to learn and work, please consider the following opportunities:
Hospitality: Working with others to help host SPS activities, like providing snacks for Faculty Meetings.
Halloween Carnival: The largest fundraiser of the Fall, the Halloween Carnival is a mixture of rides, games, food and fun for all ages.
School Store: The School Store is a way to recycle gently used uniforms and provide a deep discount for families at St. Peter's. Your volunteer hours can be spent manning the store during regular hours, weekends or even help by washing donated uniforms.
Room Parents: Room Parents are lifelines for classrooms as they help with class parties and other activities. Whether you have a few hours to spare or want to take the role as the lead Room Parent, there is always a need for help.
A background check must be completed for any person to volunteer at St. Peter's. Please complete this form and return it to JoAnn Harris.
PTC Board Meeting Reports
Board meetings are held the third Wednesday of the month at 6:30pm in the School Annex Library. Meeting notes are captured at each meeting and affirmed at the following month's meeting.
